High Fives Foundation focuses on preventing life-changing injuries and provides resources and hope if they happen. It was formed as a way to pay it forward by the founder, Roy Tuscany, after his recovery from a spinal cord injury. The Foundation has expanded to help over 1000 athletes and veterans from 47 states and territories and Canada since its inception in 2009. High Fives Foundation is a California-based, national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
High Fives Foundation has a meaningful connection to the New England Patriots through Board of Trustees member and three-time Super Bowl champion Lonie Paxton, whose passion for adaptive sports and lived experience supporting a close friend with a spinal cord injury aligns deeply with our mission. Lonie’s leadership and long-standing impact in both professional football and sports innovation help bridge the world of elite athletics with the adaptive community we serve. This partnership celebrates resilience, community, and the belief that all athletes deserve opportunities to chase their passions.
